Have You Felt Alone?
God is with you!
‘Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 NKJV
I like to give definitions to people who may not be familiar with the words in the scriptures I reference. For instance, when God states in the particular verse the word forsake. The definition for forsake is to renounce or turn away from entirely. God said he’ll never leave or turn away from us. Not to abandon, desert, leave, maroon, quit or strand. According to God’s word and Merriam-Webster Dictionary to comprehend what the scripture states. When we feel alone at that moment we need to reflect on that God is with us always. God is omnipresent. He’s everywhere, so fear has to leave. When fear or anxiety kicks in we need God to comfort us. By reading His word. For instance, in the book of Isaiah the New Kings James Version states:
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10 NKJV
Another scripture you can ponder and reflect on is:
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you[a] shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:8-9 NKJV
Meditating means much more than just contemplation. (Completion is basically the idea here is that one should reflect upon God’s word in a thoughtful way, approaching its truth personally and applying them to life). Pertaining to the New Kings James Version. When we feel lonely, we should turn to God’s word to strengthen us. It’s a letter to us to remember how powerful He is, and His love for us. Yet most importantly, we should focus on God relieving stress and worry. Telling Him about the good and the bad times. To express how grateful we are for Him in our lives and how our lives are not what they used to be.
My anxiety is severe at times, not even medicine can cure it. Family and I need God to get me through times of loneliness and solitude. Repeating scriptures, and reading a devotion helps. My thoughts that were racing become still and focused. Listening to Praise and Worship music helps as well, listening to the lyrics and focusing on worshipping God. All these ways help to combat stress, loneliness, anxiety, or depression.
Prayer for you:
Dear God,
I pray for the individual reading this, I pray for healing to take place, an overwhelming peace to cover this person. That anxiety and fear would have to leave. That overthinking about situations beyond their control subsided. Replace it with joy and love. God comforts them in all they face. In Jesus Name, Amen.
